Whittney is a Syracuse native and the Teaching & Learning Coordinator for Redhouse Arts Center’s School Partnership Program. She is currently responsible for managing a large staff of teaching fellows, site supervisors and a team of curriculum writers who provide arts-based enrichment that is embedded within the school day for elementary and middle school students. Whittney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University at Buffalo, a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from Buffalo State College, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management through Concordia University, St. Paul
Whittney is passionate about education and gathering a wealth of knowledge to share. She has experience teaching medical documentation software to clinicians at both Upstate Hospital and Crouse Medical Practice, as well as training and facilitation experience in a local workforce development program that helps to bridge the gap between poverty and gainful employment. She has also been recruited by local nonprofit organizations to facilitate presentations on training/development and leadership. Her driving force in life is to inspire and support others to discover and pursue their purpose with the tools and gifts they have (both discovered and undiscovered). One of her favorite quotes (by Christine Lagarde) is “leadership is about encouraging people. It’s about stimulating them. It’s about enabling them to achieve what they can achieve – and to do that with a purpose”. She envisions a legacy of being the type of leader that cultivates leadership in others so that they strive to pursue their own purpose and greatness.
